Ezra “Ez” Pettis, Jr.

Ezra “Ez” Pettis, Jr., is the current president of the Southwest Louisiana Louis A. Martinet Society. He is   a New Orleans native who has resided in the Lake Area for the past four and a half years. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern State University and his Juris Doctorate Degree from Southern University Law Center. He is currently an attorney at Delphin Law Offices and is always eager to work with his clients to help resolve their legal issues. He has been an active member of Martinet for the past four years and looks forward to his tenure as president. 

Bobby Holmes

Bobby was born and raised in Southwest Louisiana. Throughout his tenure as a lawyer he has practiced in courtrooms across the state.

After graduating from Louisiana State University in 2006, Bobby went on to attend Southern University Law Center where he earned his Juris Doctorate. Upon being sworn in to the bar Bobby began his legal journey by law clerking at the 30th Judicial District Court in Vernon Parish. Upon completion of his clerkship he became an Assistant District Attorney in Orleans Parish where he would go on to sharpen his trial skills. After spending several months in the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office he took a position with Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office where he practiced for almost five years, prosecuting felony cases. Bobby’s career would continue in the field of Personal Injury law at Hoffoss Devall, LLC where he worked for two years.

On June 1, 2017, Bobby joined his wife LaKetha Holmes in forming the Holmes LA Law, LLC where they now practice law across the State of Louisiana. He is a member of Greater Saint Mary Missionary Baptist Church and a member of the Iota Phi Theta Fraternity.

Denise Alex

Denise Alex is Legal Counsel at Sasol North America, the U.S. subsidiary of an international integrated chemicals and energy company. In her current role, Ms. Alex primarily handles transactional matters related to contracting, commercial issues, operations, and procurement.  Prior to joining Sasol, Denise worked as a compliance attorney at an international drilling services, rental tools and project management company in Houston, TX. Ms. Alex graduated from the University of Houston Law Center and holds degrees from the University of Houston and Texas A&M University.  When she is not working or volunteering, Denise enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, horseback riding and participating in fitness activities.
